I.C.E. Settings

I.C.E. users with Admin role can customize your I.C.E. installation by clicking the Settings icon (gear icon) in the Admin Console. Changes to I.C.E. settings affect the entire I.C.E. system so proceed with caution.

Click the Settings icon. If your license allows it, you can change the Created By, Title and Version fields to customize the description of your I.C.E. installation. Generally you should leave these settings alone. The ICE Path is the physical path to the default folder 'ice'. The ICE URL is the absolute URL to the ICE folder. Only change the Datasource, API Folder, Container Folder, Module Folder, and Plug-in Folder fields if these folder names have already been changed on the server, otherwise the ICE CMS may throw errors.

The next few fields allow you to customise the default Font Face, Font Size, List Size (number of items to display in Browse mode) and Language.

The fields E-mail Account, E-mail Password and E-mail Server are used by I.C.E. to send internal e-mails and external e-mails using the Login, Register, Forgot Password and Newsletter functions of the CRM module. The Bounce E-mail fields are essential for correct operation of the Send Newsletter function (otherwise they are optional) and the e-mail details entered here should be for an existing catch-all e-mail account. The Bounce E-mail Server should be a POP Server (receive e-mails).

Finally, Session Timeout allows you to change the number of minutes of inactivity after which the admin console will timeout. Click the Save button to save the Settings.
