Uploading Files In addition to adding media files such as Image, Flash, Videos, Audio and Document to the I.C.E. CMS, you can also upload static files used by your Channel templates and containers. The Upload feature also allows you to overwrite existing files in the database or previously uploaded files with new versions. In addition to media files, you can also use the Upload feature to upload Javascript and CSS files used by your Site. Below is a list of file types that can be uploaded and their location in the I.C.E. folder.
Note: Files uploaded with the Upload Tool are not stored in the I.C.E. CMS database
Uploading Static Files Select the file type in the Upload drop down to open the upload tool for that file type. You can select up to 10 files on your local computer. Deselect the Overwrite checkbox if you do not wish to overwrite existing files. Click the Upload Files button.
Deleting Static Files Select the file type in the Upload drop down to open the upload tool for that file type. Select the files you want to delete on the right side of the Upload Tool. Click the Remove Files button.
Using Static Files To use uploaded files in your Channel templates or Containers, you can use relative or absolute URLs as follows: Relative URLS
E.g. <img src="images/logo.jpg"> Absolute URLS
E.g. <img src=http://www.mysite.com/images/logo.jpg>
